The aim of the District program is:

  • To detect young talented U13 and U14 players and guide them in their further development.
  • To introduce young promising coaches to top hockey under the guidance of a mentor and in close collaboration with the High Performance National staff.
  • To introduce and coach young promising umpires to high level games under the guidance of umpire – coaches.

We are currently looking for field coaches and goalkeeper coaches to join the District program 2026 - 2027.

Key responsibilities

  • Select in an objective and accurate way according to established District criteria
  • Identify and develop the talents of target group to District standards
  • Provide high quality training according to pre- defined District program
  • Create a fun and learning environment with development as a central value
  • Develop your own experience as a coach

Skills and abilities

  • Age requirement: 21 year
  • Coaching experience: minimum of 4 years coaching experience with a Belgian Youth team (U14 – U19) or an equivalent international competition.
  • Langues:
    • Fluent Dutch and/ or French speaking
    • English: all meetings and communication are in English
  • Levels: minimum requirements
    • VHL: Trainer C
    • LFH: Educateur 
  • You can assume your transportation to the different venues

Program

We expect your presence at all District activities: trainings & games are generally programmed on Sunday evening from 1830 till 2030.
Program will start September 2026 and runs till the last weekend of June 2027
You are to attend 2 à 3 District coaches meeting that will be sheduled throughout the year

  • September 2026 > 6 - 13 - 27
  • October 2026 > 4 - 11 - 18
  • November 2026 > 8 -15 - 22
  • December 2026 > Stage Wednesday 16 > 0900 à 1700

  • February 2027 >  28: to be confirmed
  • March 2027 > 7 - 14 - 21 ( to be confirmed)
  • April 2027 > 11 - 18 - 25 
  • May 2027 > 23 > activity to be confirmed
  • June 2027 > Saturdays 5 - 12 - 19 - 23 

  • Candriam District Days:
    • Saturday, June 26, 2027 > U14 - °2013
    • Sunday, June 27, 2027 > U13 - °2014
